If you asked,

I would marry you immediately. No reservations. I would drop everything to do just that. 

We could elope. We could wait for the weekend or next summer or until we’re both old and wrinkled. I would do it, and on your terms.

I don’t even think I am in love with you, but I imagine we would be if given the chance. I truly believe we could be together for life. No doubts. You freeze me in my steps when I see you, and stop my heart when I look back on those amazing moments we’ve had.

We’re perfect together in size, taste, and sensibilities. We both hunger for adventure beyond ourselves and both are just willing to say yes. Or so I see right now. 

You really are the only person that I could imagine doing this with. I really would marry you right now if you asked. Honestly. 

And, honestly, it hurts, because I know you wouldn’t if I asked you. Not in the same way. Not now anyway. But who knows?
